 How can I place a bid on-line ? |
| If you found a lot you will bid on, please enter the amount
(in our example DM 21,-) in the edit-field of the row 'bid'.
Amounts must be entered whole-numbered or seperated by
a dot (e.g. '21.00' for DM 21.00):

| After you entered the amount, please click on the small
shopping cart. Instead of clicking the small cart, you can
press the enter-key too.
If you have disregarded the minimum bids, you will
get a message. Please change the amount accordingly
an click on more time on the small shopping cart
(or press the enter-key).

If a bid was succesfully added to the shopping cart, you can
see this on the amount in the row 'bid' and that a second
(red canceld) small shopping cart is appearing.
Additionally the big shopping cart on the top is 'filled'
and the white number on the red background represents
the quantity of lots in the shopping cart.
You can change particular biddings, if you click on the
small shopping cart after you entered the new amount.
You can delete a bidding from the shopping cart, if you
click on the small, red croosed shopping cart.
If all biddings are entered, please click on the big
shopping cart on the top of the page to proceed to the
shopping list and the 'cashier'.

In the 'Basket' you see a similiar lot-list as in the
catalogue, with images and desriptions. Additionally you can
see the sum of your biddings at the end of the list.
Of course you can make here changes on the amounts
and you can delete particular biddings from the basket.
Ich you have no further changes please click on '>>Go to cashier>>'
on the end of these page.
You will attain to a form where you have to enter your
address and choose your preferred method of payment.
After you have submitted the form correctly, your biddings
were accepted and you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

| A small hint at the end:
Our basket system will recognize the content of your
shopping cart until you close your internet browser.
If you will resume your 'shopping expedition' on the next day,
you have (like in a super market) to go to the cashier and pay the lots in your
shopping cart. On the next day you have to start a new 'shopping tour'.
If you enter your preferred themes that you collect in the
notes-field at the end of the address-form, we can inform
you directly about our special theme-auctions in the near future.

How often are wich auctions on meixner.de ? |
There are two different types of auctions at meixner.de:
4 up to 5 times a year, the Auktionshaus Meixner is performing
real, classical auctions
in an auction hall (e.g. 'Auction 65').
In this big auctions, we offer more than 10.000 lots of
hundreds of different collection themes.
Starting in January 2001, paralell to the printed version of the
catalogue, we provide the Internet-version of the respective
auction on www.meixner.de.
Against the printed version you have a several benefits:
Until the catalogue is printed and shipped, about 6 to 10
days goes by, while the online-version is still available.
Locating of lots is in the online-version much more
comfortably and more easy.
Furthermore, in the online-version are not only the first 30
pages (such as in the catalogue) in color, but all pictures
will be shown in color.
If you have realized, how the online bidding works on meixner.de,
it is much more comfortably, faster and more efficient than
the conventional method by catalogue.
The second type of auctions at meixner.de are the theme-oriented
special web-auctions, which are presented as of April 2001.
We are presenting here special collection topics,
for example in the 'web auction 1' the collection topics
'Russia and Serbia'.
